I picked our runner bean harvest yesterday. ⠀

This was it. ⠀

It would have been easy to have been disappointed that we’ve only had one bean. But, it is a magnificent one and Big bro excitedly shouted, ‘yes! Let’s have it for our tea!’ when he saw it. ⠀

So often, I am in the mindset of what’s coming next, running through my to-do list of tasks in my head, that I forget to celebrate. I want to celebrate and dwell on all the achievements, no matter how big or small. I want to cultivate celebration and gratitude in our hearts as a family. ⠀

At the end of last year I wrote a post about choosing gratitude as we go into the year and I talked about all the things I would get to do. I just re-read it and I am amazed that they are all things I have done. There is so much I haven’t been able to do this year but I am so grateful that the things I was so thankful for have happened. And I am so grateful for so so much more.

And today, I am taking a moment to be grateful for this single delicious runner bean. ⠀

What are you grateful for today?
