“You can never get a cup of tea large enough or a book long enough to suit me.”
C. S. Lewis
Well, C.S. Lewis, I couldn’t agree more. I LOVE tea and I LOVE books.
Since I became a parent I have found the opportunities for both have lessened. However, having just read a fantastic book, I am determined to create more time to read as it brings me so much joy.
And, because I know time is limited for lots of us I know how great it is when you get a good book recommendation. I really enjoy getting to share when I’ve read a book that I couldn’t put down or a book which made me think or laugh or cry. So, I am going to start sharing some short book reviews on here.
Having just written a book (out in Jan 2020, more on that soon 😉 ) I know how much I would love it if someone read it and wanted to share it with others. So, it’s prompted me to think about how I can make sure I do the same for others.
Expect a range of books. From parenting to public speaking, children’s ministry to crime fiction… I love to mix it up when it comes to reading.
To get us started I thought I’d ask a little book themed question. I was going to ask ‘what is your favourite book ever?’ but I really struggle when I have to pick one favourite so here are two questions…
What is your favourite book at the moment?
What are you reading right now?
I’d love to know your answers in the comments… I’ll get us started.

I am listening on Audible to The Book You Wish Your Parents Had Read (and Your Children Will Be Glad That You Did) by Philippa Perry and I am loving it, it’s taking me ages because I want to think it all through and take it all in. Learning so much about myself and how I am with my kids.
I just finished and LOVED How to Own the Room by Viv Groskop. I’m going to write about that later this week. It was brilliant. I might even start reading it again immediately!
